So what happen was that they wrote the ticket under my name and put my DL number and now that shows up on my driving record and when I looked at my insurance renewal notice the quote increased. How can I get this off my record since it was not my fault?

Hey I Am looking for some advice from a driver or someone in the police or dvla or just someone smart :) I am going to be buying a car but I am on a provisional so I will not be able to drive the car on my own as of yet however if I get my mums friend to drive it to an off road parking space is there some sort of day insurance that she can buy to get it there as I dont want to insure it till I am going to be driving it. If you were arrested in 2009 for dui and your case was dismissed :1) will your insurance rates go up once insurance company sees you were arrested (it's now 2012 and rates never went up but is this because insurance company never noticed the arrest record?). I have been working part-time for a company and about to become full-time. One of the concerns that was raised is that insurance will be expensive. I have held a full uk driving licence for 14 years.......my husband (who has a provisional licence) was put on my new policy last year as a named driver. Today, he passed his test, so to keep it all legal, i contacted the insurance to advise of change of circs. I expected the monthly premiums to rise a little, but what happened next confused and angered me and I really need to know if there is anything I can do......he we go....they said they could no longer insure me and my husband and that they would cancel the policy and were gving me 7 days notice before this happened, (why cant it just be amended, i know loads of people that have done this) they said it was a special deal for me because i had a provisional driver as my named driver..(to me this makes no sense, they work on risk, surely they wouldnt give special deals for unexperienced drivers?) but the icing on the cake they want to charge a 40 cancellation fee, however i am not cancelling they are??? also i can take out a new policy with them which i have to pay an admin fee for making a change to the policy, however it is supposedly a brand new policy??? Has anyone any idea what to do or any ideas? i know I could just change insurers however it would be easier and cheaper to stay with who i'm with and I was never told when I took the policy that if my husband passed his test this one would be void..........and this is more principle as I dont like being hadover, I am going to phone and kick off tomorrow, but want to know if anyone has any solid rules and regs on this. I was in a car accident when a girl blew a red light and smashed into my side. $10,000 in auto damages that was fixed rights away. (btw she admitted fault to police so im 0% at fault legally) I went to emergency room for precautionary reasons. That cost $1450. Then little by little the pain started to kick in. I had neck pain, shoulder pain, back pain and terrible pain in my knee. I had MRI on back, knee and neck because those were the worst. That total was about $1800. I was told by the doctor that the mri on my back said I have two herniated disks and I should do therapy. I listened to him and went four times per week for four months. The Mri on my neck came back good. But my knee showed a tear in mcl. I had surgery on that and had to see the surgeon in his office twice plus hospital bills which equals a bill of $14,500. I then needed 2 months of therapy on my knee. Also all the pain meds ive been taking through out the whole process is around $600. I had a ekg for my nerves to test if they were good and that cost $800. So after doing my research I find websites that say the settlement amount s should be all bills multiplied by 3 depending on the persons insurance carrier and coverage. Well this person has $200,000/$200,000. So far all my bills have been paid through my insurance. When I do the math for what all the bills are is comes to roughly $28350. I didn't include the four days per week for therapy and seeing the doctors. That has to be a big chunk also. My lawyer called me and said he was made an offer of $42,000. He gets a 1/3 of that. I think they low balled me soooo bad on this. If i use the X3 multiplier method then it should have been somewhere around $85,000 offer. Remember I didn't even include all the visits to the therapy. Is this a good offer or should I decline and wait for second offer? My lawyer thinks we should wait it out because he has such a big insurance policy that we can get much more especially since that was our first offer.

She got a speeding ticket this year and also did not have her DL on her. So what happen was that they wrote the ticket under my name and put my DL number and now that shows up on my driving record and when I looked at my insurance renewal notice the quote increased. How can I get this off my record since it was not my fault?

I spoke to dozens of companies and the minimum quote I got was 3000 something a year or 288 monthly with ingenie, which I don't earn enough wages for let alone without the cost of petrol. Here is my question: Me and my wife currently have health insurance (Carrier A). Effective 6/1 I plan to get into different health insurance plan with different insurer (Carrier B). On 5/23 my son was born and as per Carrier A, I have 31 days to enroll him under my current health insurance. Since I am changing eff 6/1, will he still be covered with my current plan (even I don't add him) until I add him to the new plan? I was charged dui + my insurance company doesn't know, should I notify them for $1700 coverage for road work?
I was in an accident involving a highway railing but no other automobiles except my own. This was six months ago. My insurance company was not notified and as of now has no information regarding my accident or dui. I totaled my car and have gladly stopped driving as I live in a city and can bike, walk and ride public transportation. My question regards an outstanding bill I have for $1,700 to the state highways for repair to the railing I hit. Should I pay out of pocket? or file an insurance claim and have it covered as part of my property damage liability? I have heard the insurance company would increase my insurance rate for 3 years, but I don't plan on having a car anyway. I could use the $1700, however, I've come away clean thus far and am reluctant to bring this to my insurance company's attention if I don't have to, though it may be just a matter of time before the insurance company learns of the accident anyway. I have moved to a different state and have a different drivers license and plan on discontinuing my insurance at the end of the month when the policy runs out.

My mum and dad's combined cost of car insurance on their Range rover sport HSE TDV6 (2.7litre) is around 1200. My dad rang up his insurance broker to get a quote on putting me as a named driver, and we got a quote of a total of about 6,000 per year. I know this is a lot of money, however the insurance company says this is because the car is in bracket 19. I was led to believe by my Land Rover dealer that the TDV6 model was in group 14/15, where it was the Supercharged 4.4litre model which was in group 18/19. Is this quote too much for the model car specified? Given i am 20 years old, having held my lisence for around 3 years with no motoring convictions against my name, and having also been a named driver for the best part of 3 years on a Ford Focus. Is it about right? Or is it slightly higher than one would expect for the car. Many Thanks
